School Counselor, Drama Teacher
As a school counselor, I help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by teaching skills such as problem-solving, healthy friendships, positive self-talk, communication skills, impulse control, and emotional regulation. I work closely with students, families, and teachers to support positive behavior, address challenges in school, and connect families with helpful resources when needed.
I love being able to use creative practices such as books, games, activities, and music to teach social emotional skills to students in a way that is accessible and fun for them.
I also lead the Drama Club. Having been involved in musical theatre since early childhood, I personally feel great comfort in being able to express creativity through the stage. I am forever grateful to all my past teachers and directors for helping inspire and foster this love. It is my goal to introduce students to the world of theatre such that they can find a way to and express themselves through theatrical arts.
I enjoy the outdoors, grilling with my husband, and playing with my dog, Shadow.
