Title 1 Reading Tutor
Hello, my name is Bev Zilis and I am the Title 1 Reading tutor at Our Lady of the Lake. I was
born and raised in the Cleveland area. I am a graduate of Cleveland State University where I
earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education. My teaching career spans more than 25
years working with students in grades K-12. Throughout my career my passion has been to
create an environment that nurtures and cultivates students’ abilities. I emphasize engaging
classroom activities and careful attention to the individual needs of students with whom I work.
My goal is to provide opportunities for Our Lady of the Lake students that will improve their
reading skills and help them to reach their full academic potential.
